About the Marching Band...

The Norton Marching Band appears to be one of the most successful and vibrant organizations at Norton High School. The band annually participates in at least two or more Ohio Music Educators Association (OMEA) Marching Band Contests, one of those contests being Norton's own "Art-In-Motion" Marching Band Invitational. Norton is also a member of and participates at the Bands Of America (BOA) Regional Championships and Grand National Championships. Finally, the band marches in at least two local parades.

The Norton Marching Band holds onto a rich tradition of earning high ratings at all contests entered. On average, the band earns nothing less than an excellent rating, often times succeeding to superior ratings. The Band has qualified and performed in the OMEA State Finals Marching Band Contest for the past ten years. Awards such as the Mayor's Award and Best Unit Overall are just a few honors received at local parades.
